Our Services
We provide practical land management and tree services for residential, lifestyle and rural properties.
-
Whether a tree is dead, dangerous, storm-damaged, or simply in the way, we provide safe and efficient tree felling services.
We assess each job carefully and use the right techniques to remove trees while protecting surrounding property, structures, and vegetation. From small residential trees to larger rural jobs, we can help.
-
We create and maintain tracks through bush, scrub, and overgrown areas for easier access to your property.
Whether you need a walking track, hunting access, farm accessway, or a track reopened after years of growth, we can clear and shape a practical path suited to your needs.
-
Keeping a property looking tidy and functional can be a big job.
We offer a range of property maintenance services including vegetation control, clearing overgrown areas, fenceline clearing, accessway maintenance, spraying, lawns, scrub bar and general outdoor upkeep to help keep your land manageable year-round.
-
We can cut, process, and stack firewood from trees on your property or assist with preparing wood for the colder months.
Whether it's fallen timber, trees being removed, or existing firewood supplies needing processing, we can save you time and hard work.
-
Storms can leave properties littered with fallen trees, branches, and debris.
We provide prompt clean-up services to restore access, remove hazards, and get your property back to a safe and tidy condition as quickly as possible.
-
Unwanted pests can damage land, native bush, and farming operations.
We assist with controlling pest plants and, where appropriate and legal, pest animals. Our goal is to help landowners protect their properties and maintain healthy environments.
Testimonials
“We had Matty fell trees on our property which were encroaching on our farm buildings and also needed removal prior to some excavation work.
The job was done to an exceptionally high standard, with health and safety remaining a priority at all times. We would not hesitate in recommending Matty for any work associated with tree removal or maintenance”

“Big thanks to Matty from Love & Sons who did tree pruning for me yesterday. A great job done, very happy with Matty’s work and happy to recommend him and his work.”
— Trish McLean
“Love & Sons (Matty) have done two excellent jobs for me - both potentially hazardous drops as both trees were big leaners.
He was good with communication, charged me fairly for the work I was asking to be done, easy to work with, professional and a good safety attitude in his approach to putting both trees safely on the ground. Matty is my go to guy for any tree work I need done. Thanks again Matty!”
— Terry Hill (Owner at Your Sound and Lighting Te Kūiti)
